HR Generalist/Recruiter

POSITION SUMMARY:

The HR Generalist / Recruiter is responsible for planning and implementing programs and actions to deliver HR services including talent acquisition across the organization. Supports continuous improvement and change initiatives to enable the strategy execution, growth and success of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plans, implements, and manages human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, on-boarding, compensation, benefits, training and development, employee relations and retention, and AA/EEO compliance
• Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems and drives results to accomplish them
• Conducts recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt positions, internships and temporary roles, writes and places postings, screens candidates, coordinates and participates in interviews, leads selection process, makes employment offers, and participates in on-boarding process
• Develops strong internal and external relationships to facilitate recruiting of top talent
• Creates and updates job descriptions and other documents as needed
• Analyzes turnover data to determine causes, conducts exit interviews, and develops plans for corrective action and continuous improvement
• Assists in the administration of the compensation and performance evaluation programs
• Develops and maintains records, reports logs, and other documents to conform to EEO regulations
• Assists with basic benefits administration including communicating benefits information to applicants and employees
• Responds to employee relations issues, documents facts, develops resolutions, and provides recommended action plans to leadership
• Develops, recommends and implements employee recognition methods
• Maintains human resource information system records, compiles reports, and performs analysis as needed
• Designs, facilitates, or coordinates training for employees
• Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the organization and services performed
• Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
• Performs other special projects and responsibilities as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Competency Requirements):

• 5+ years Human Resources and Talent Acquisition experience in a manufacturing or technology organization preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of human resources principles, policies, practices, issues, and regulations, especially as they pertain to employment activities
• Possess a sense of urgency to understand and meet customer needs
• Highly skilled in creating strong business partnerships both within and outside of the organization to attract and retain talent
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks and changing priorities
• Track record of attracting, selecting, and hiring top talent
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to travel up to 20% of time
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
